The National – newspaper website

Working with weare:london (formerly CADinteractive) has brought janleeks.com some very interesting and challenging projects. None more so than being involved in the launch of the online version of The National, an English newspaper launched last springtime in Abu Dhabi.
The project took a large chunk of the weare:london team over to Abu Dhabi for several months, and janleeks.com was lucky enough to go and work with the in-house development team in January and again in June of 2008.
The project was a major undertaking, and kept me busy for several months of 2008. Key involvement was creating several templates for the site that were to be integrated into a content management system as well as consulting on best practice and helping with troubleshooting. The site and the paper both went live on time, and have been a great success.
