welcome to my blog pages, here you will find my latest posts telling tales of my latest projects, technology and anything else that i might have been involved in or witnessed recently, hope you enjoy.

Hello,

I have been nudged by a couple of people of late to say, ‘whats going on with your blog?’

Well, I’ve been just too busy in the last 6 weeks or so to write anything, but I am going to attempt to explain a bit of what has been going on in this catch up.

Most importantly I have finally moved to Walton on Thames. I am currently residing in a rented flat. I am living and working on the 9th floor, a bit different to my ground floor maisonette in Winchmore Hill.

The weeks preceding the move were taken up with getting ready, packing and trying to keep on top of my workload.

The move day soon arrived, and thanks to the help of Glen, Carl, Grant and Nick (as well as Alan – thanks for the Alan keys) the majority of the furniture and items were soon in Surrey. The sofas even fitted in the lift, so it all worked out nicely.

What I didn’t realise was how much junk I had!

So here I am in living in beautiful Surrey and so far I’m loving it.

As you can see from the views from my office window, its lovely…

I’ve just about finished the office set up now too, and will post some photos of it in the coming weeks.

It’s weird renting after being a property owner for many years. I am planning on sitting tight for a few months to see what happens with the market, before taking the plunge again and buying a little house. I am keeping my eye on things, and have seen a couple of places that I’m interested in. But I will definitely take my time. Especially as I want the perfect place, with room for a decent sized office at home.

So like I said, things are starting to fall into place here, but I still have several boxes that need my attention. The TV works though so if all else fails at least I can watch some telly.

My first weekend living in Walton I spent back in Enfield. This was due to being asked to be Godfather to my good friends Simon and Tory Laceys’ beautiful daughter Sienna.

It’s a real honour and we had a great day.

Sunday 22nd saw me flying back over to Abu Dhabi for another week working out with my friends out there. We were basically working on tweaks to existing sites, new templates and discussing future projects. It was nice to get out there again – but very close to uncomfortable when caught in the sun.

I was back on the Friday (27th), one night here and then off to Enfield again for the weekend. The weekend just gone I didn’t stay at home either, as I was up in Newcastle on a Stag weekend for my old football pal Ian Evans. Another excellent weekend, and great to see everyone.

You must be beginning to think I don’t like it here in Walton as I have only spent one weekend at home since the move. Nothing could be further from the truth – it’s just how things have panned out so far.

On the work front I’ve been working hard on several projects for my friends at CadInteractive, along with a step down memory lane working on an online Annual Report for LikeMind (Corporate Edge).

I’ve also started work on the prototype for a new website for my friends at Dataquest Solutions. Also some early work on a project for a London based Decorators firm. I will soon be beginning work on a website for a photographer. Other ongoing work for blinds4uk (new site launch soon) has kept me busy too. I understand there will soon be some more work for petercameronfineart.com too, a new collection I believe.

Having recently become a limited company and VAT registered has not helped with workload. I recently did my first VAT return, and and trying my best to keep up to date with my books. I want to learn to do this for myself, although I may use a bookkeeper in the future. I think it’s worthwhile learning the ins and outs of such things – if possible.

All those of you I have promised to catch up with, I will very soon. As you can see it’s been a busy few weeks – hope to be back to normal soon.

Bye!
