WOW! Friday was my last day as a full time employee at Corporate Edge, and it was an experience that I cannot put into words. Before I begin I have to say a massive thank you to all those people who made my last 8 or 9 years such a fantastic experience.
A big thanks for Friday too! It was one of the best days of my life, and I realised what great friends I have made on the way. When I walked into the pub and saw so many faces from the past and present, I was just gob-smacked. As the evening went on more and more people came along, it was brilliant. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
It was like an old school reunion. It was great to see how many people knew one another and all the different connections of companies, freelancers etc. Fantastic and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as me. Great to see you all, and we should do a similar get together more often. Some of you I haven’t seen in over 5 or 6 years, you are all fantastic, thanks.
A big thanks to Corporate Edge as well. I found it very difficult to make a leaving speech after Simon’s lovely words to me. For once I was speechless, and I really tried to get my feelings about my time there across. Thanks to all for the card (cheers greame) and the gift, I didn’t truly say thank you, it was a bit too much for me, as I was a little emotional.
For the hard core, who went on to Infernos! never make me go there again! Seriously it was great fun, and my feet were hurting yesterday after the boogie. Needless to say, I wasn’t very effective on Saturday at Football as Tom will tell you. Don’t think all that tequila helped much either.
So, the weirdness continues. I now have a few days to get things together before the real work begins. Here goes everything!
