Super September

September 28th, 2007

Hi,

It’s been three weeks since my last post and lots has been going on.

On the 14th I got away for a week with my brothers, and pals Danny and Grant – to Mallorca (again). Yes second time I have been there this year, although this visit was a whole week.

As you can see from this photo it wasnt the most cultural of weeks, we just sunbathed rested and drank alot.

I needed the break though, and I have learned that next year I will not holiday in September. Why? Where August was a quieter month work wise, September has been very very good.

So what have I been up to?

Well I know in previous posts I have mentioned the work I have done with The Camber Group, the fruits of our labour are now available to see, as the NCP site was launched just a few days ago now: www.ncp.co.uk

Looking forward to doing some more stuff with you soon!

I have also been working on a number of projects with Corporate Edge, and actually had the pleasure of going into the new swanky offices last Monday. I will see you again this Monday. More on the CE work when the sites go live, lots in the pipeline there. Again thanks for all the work.

This week I have also completed my first project working alongside Inaria Design. A really enjoyable experience, excellent briefing and design work. Really professional and I think the site we have produced is beautiful. As soon as it is live I will add the link here. Thanks for the work guys.

I have also added a new artist Roberto Pruneddu to the ]Peter Cameron Fine Art website. Really loving Roberto’s work! This is a nice project to be involved in as its completely ongoing – new artists and functionality to be added at regular intervals. Thanks for the opportunity again Peter.

As usual there is lots bubbling under including work on new BT Vision site with Cad Interactive amongst other bits. (Also had an interesting meeting earlier in the month with Minale Tattersfield, and am hoping to be working with those guys soon too).

The downside is although I have redesigned my portfolio pages on my site and the homepage, i just havent got the time to get them sorted. I’m obviously not complaining, its a good problem to have – but I really do need to get it sorted.

Well away from the computer the footy season is well and truly underway. I will not write about arsenal as I dont want to sound like i am gloating, but I do look forward to seeing Lynn Dickenson soon and asking what has happened to Tottenhams push for the top 4?

As for my own football, well the season hasnt started very well. Our new manager has struggled with the team and after last weeks 11-0 defeat (the worst in my whole playing career for the Old Eds), we have decided that I should take on the manager role.

Yes even at our level we have Mourhinio-esque mutual decisions this early in the season. So today I take my first steps into football player-management. It should be interesting as I have not had my first team selection yet so will have to make do with the team I have today.

Surely we can’t lose 11-0 again eh?

Still, its made me think about all the time I give to the Old Edmontonians. This season I am Vice-Chairman, Social Secretary, Vets team manager (although we are yet to play a game), teamsheet co-ordinator and now 3rd XL manager too.

No wonder I dont have time to sort out my web site!!!

Well hope you are not too bored with all the footy talk, i will add a comment on the results tomorrow and that Inaria URL when the site is live.

bye

p.s. Weight? Dont ask!
