Hi all,
it’s been a good few weeks (5 at least) since my last post.
As you can imagine the blog has been neglected due to being busy, and I didn’t want to tell you that my website updates were not done… Well I guess as you are looking at this, you will probably be aware of the changes to my homepage, and finally a decent portfolio of my work. Please let me know what you think. Before I go any further I have to thank Rudders for giving it the once over for me, dinner soon! x
So what else has been going on, well an awful lot where do i start?
Well as you may have read September saw me undertaking my first project alongside Inaria Design. I was fortunate enough to work on a new website for Air Partner. Like I mentioned last time, it was a pleasure to work on this site. A good briefing along with good understanding made this a breeze to get finished despite an aggressive schedule of just three days. Thanks guys, I’m already looking forward to the next project (fingers crossed here!)
I spent the best part of a week during October working alongside my old sidekicks Bob and Rob Searles on template development for a forthcoming website. More on that as soon as the site is live, but it was great to work with you guys again, cheers.
I spent a good chunk of October working for Corporate Edge on a forthcoming corporate website for a large high street fashion store. There were dozens of templates to get produced over the period, and therefore I was able to go in to the new offices a few more times and see some friendly faces there. It does seem a little odd when I go in now, after working there full time for 9 years, I do now feel removed from the company now. I hope we can continue to work together for many years mind you.
I am currently working alongside on CADinteractive on a lovely project. More on that when the work is complete, but it looks like there will be lots of ongoing work here, so I am very much pleased to have met these guys. Thanks Jon, Amir and Chris!
Other works include bits and pieces for Corporate Edge, a small project for Inaria and lots and lots of potential bits and pieces that might bear fruit! Of course as soon as there is more to tell, you will see it here first.
Well how about some quick reviews of things I have encountered in the last few weeks?
OK, Geek time! MAC OSX 10.5 Leopard. Brought it last week, installed fine and is so much easier and user friendly. I would recommend anyone with a decent Mac to upgrade.
Movie time! Went to see ’30 Days of Night’ last week, I love horror and especially Vampire movies. Loved it until the last 10 minutes, really disappointed but still the best vampire movie in ages.
Sport time! Arsenal are great, I was fortunate to go to the 7-0 thrashing of Prague the other week and have to say they were superb!
There we go reviews for this post over! I will try to flesh them out in future, well maybe I will get back to weekly posts and then i can focus on one thing, rather than this haphazard mess eh?
Finally, as you know i have taken on management of the Old Edmontonians 3rd Xl. (Thats football). Those who read my last post will have seen me pleased as punch with my first result as a manager.
Unfortunately I think it was beginners luck. The next week we lost 5-0 in one of our cup competitions. The next week we managed a 4-1 win, but they did only have 10 men. Since then it has been back-to-back defeats in the league, cup and another league defeat this Saturday. I hope to have some better news next time.
Oh well I guess I have bored you enough with my talk of football. See you next time, Christmas is coming….
Happy Birthday MUM x
