Happy New Year! Christmas came and went quickly, and I like most people overdid it a little. The extra few pounds have got me to buy a new ipod and a Nike+.
It’s got me out running a little, but because of my dodgy knee not as much as I would like. You can see my progress here. I’ve only done a few small runs so far, but want to slowly build up. This great piece of technology should help me keep up the running, along with my swimming hopefully you’ll see a more healthy (hopefully slightly slimmer) Jan in the following months. I’ll let you know what I think of the Nike+ the more I use it, but for now it seems like a great little device. (I didnt buy the expensive nike+ trainers but instead brought one of these for next to nothing).
2008 was a great year for janleeks.com, and I would like to thank all my clients and friends for your work, help and support. 2008 not only saw me move to Surrey, but the business went from a sole trader to a full limited company. I spent several weeks working in Abu Dhabi as well as working for several design consultants in London, and of course working for all my own clients. Thanks again.
2009, well I’m hoping for more of the same… Hopefully lots more. I’m planning on buying a house this year, all being well. I also want (by the end of the year) to have a small office and hopefully a fellow employee. I know I have said it before, but I really hope to have enough business to hire a trainee. Lets hope 2009 is the year that these things happen.
Recently I have started doing work with Uffindell West. Thanks to all of you guys there who have given me some work, I feel this relationship can grow and am very grateful of the opportunity. I’ve also been involved with an interesting project with Inaria (hopefully again the first of many) and continued projects with Wechsler.
I’ve also been working on several projects with CADinteractive, and am hoping that we have lots more work together this year.
