After my recent week off it was great to get back and have lots of things waiting for me in the Inbox.
Although I love all of my work, I was equally pleased for once to be a few days late catching up on all the recent hardware and software releases from Apple.
Now I love the look of the new ipod Nano, the great updates to the ipod touch, and iphone (finally mine seems to be working properly now), but what really made me happy was the new version of iTunes (8).
If you have yet to download the update, I would strongly urge you to. I love the new grid album view, and it makes pulling old classics out of the hat much easier.
What has really got me going is the Genius button. Please opt into this. You will not regret it!
Previously I had a similar iTunes extension that did the same kind of thing, but just not so well – and to have this integrated into your music player is fantastic.
If you do not know what Genius is yet, basically it allows you to choose a track – click the genius button and iTunes makes a playlist (25, 50, 75 or 100 tracks) based on that track. It really works too!
When you are a busy bee, and just want a quick playlist of great music, let iTunes do the work!
