Hello,
I’m currently living in Abu Dhabi working on a project with my good friends at Cad Interactive. It’s been a crazy kind of beginning to 2008. One minute sitting in my office contemplating the new year – the next flying to the Middle East to spend three weeks working on a project with Cad. Unfortunately I cannot really go into too much detail at this time about the project, but it’s been an interesting time so far out here.
I’ve been lucky enough to meet some lovely interesting people during my stay so far, and of course do some shopping in many of Abu Dhabi’s lovely malls. When I return to the UK I will tell you alot more about my trip, but at this stage all I can say is I’m having fun and enjoying this experience.
Back home I have a couple of projects waiting for me to pick up on my return, although the Abu Dhabi project will continue well into 2008, although it’s not currently clear if or when I will be back out here.
Although I am enjoying the experience, I am missing lots of things about being home and the comforts of home. Still room service and full laundry is a nice perk!
I’m very much missing playing football, and of course going to Arsenal although I think after last Tuesdays result against the old enemy, I chose the right time to be away from all my ‘friends’ from down the lane. Not that the geographic difference stopped the text messages flying over, I think you guys all saved up 9 years credit to annoy us Arsenal fans!
Still we’ll be back, so enjoy it while it lasts. With my fair sporting head on good luck in the final! (that hurt)!
I am considering buying and iphone when i get back to the UK, two of my colleagues out here have them, and playing around I have fallen in love. I think its a must have, even despite all the drawbacks.
Well I better crack on, i’m sure I will have some photos and more information for you to read about my adventure soon.
